"For such a time as this... " Esther 4:14

Message from the Director

Queen Esther in the Bible was called by God to help bring relief and deliverance to the Jewish people who faced annihilation. In a similar way, I believe God has raised up Breath of Heaven Children’s Ministry to bring relief and deliverance to the orphans of Zambia.

We have made progress with the construction of our first home now completed, a caretakers home and the director’s home which will be completed by the end of November.

I praise God for what we have been able to accomplish. However, every time I have gone to witness our progress, my heart is further broken because the orphans do not have the luxury of time. They need care, shelter, and protection immediately.

I’ll be very direct. I need your help. Any contribution is welcomed. Anything you can do by way of sharing our vision with others will help as well.

What can you do? Any number of things! A group of mothers with toddlers got together in Corona Del Mar, California and had a garage sale that raised $710.00. One of the mothers has committed to match what they raised. A teacher in Los Angeles collected pennies at his school. In a week his jar was filled with $700.00 in pennies. A teacher at a preschool also collected $500.00 for Pennies from Heaven. A chef in Los Angeles took it upon himself to have a five course gourmet fund raising dinner. Another young man is collecting old cell phones. You can fast one latte or mocha a week for a month and ask your friends to join you.

Please pray with me that we will raise the $800,000.00 that is needed to build the village which will consist of fourteen homes, a school, a medical clinic and a church.  My plea is not for me but for the 200 kids who are waiting. Some may have already turned to the streets for survival.

You can make a difference. And who knows if God may have a call upon you to help,
