About Us

Breath of Heaven Children’s Village is a ministry dedicated to help meeting the needs of a growing orphan population in Lusaka, Zambia. Serving orphans is part of our biblical commission, as stated in James 1:27, “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans… in their distress.”

 

Our desire is to provide a stable, secure, family like environment that will allow the children to interact with the neighboring community.

 

 

Breath of Heaven Children’s Village has an immediate mission to develop a children’s village consisting of a community school, clinic, church and fourteen homes. These homes will be individually set up as family units consisting of a housemother and twelve children. This is an important element in our strategy which will minimize some of the stigma associated with more institutional approaches and allow for a more normalized family experience for the children. Once complete, the Children's Village will allow us tohouse over 160 children. In addition to those who are able to have a home at the village, the school, medical clinic andotherfacilities will allow us toreach out to even more children with day programs, education and medical care.
